A downloadable game

Have you ever wanted your party to fight just One Big Boss? No backup, no extras, just your players versus an impossibly powerful enemy. My application of this concept, after taking inspiration from a variety of other TRPGs such as ICON, Gubat Banwa, and Log Horizon TRPG was my raid boss design, which leverages MMO-esque bespoke mechanics with increased resilience and action economy to create bosses that are meant to take on a team of Lancers all by themselves.

This contains a design document and some examples of how I accomplished this, but I encourage all GMs who use this resource to make their own raid bosses using this template (if it's useful for your purposes). Raid bosses are best utilized when you know your table's preferences, and are designed to be spectacle fights.

As a final note, some tables might find this design to be too much overhead or too complex or even too gamey. That is fine. This design is intentionally complicated and gamey. The intent is to simulate the experience of playing a Savage Raid from FFXIV or a Mythic Raid from WoW. Use at your own discretion.
